Identify a Host Partner and a Sustainable Structure

Description: Determining a sustainable organizational structure may be one of the most important – and difficult – decisions your initiative must make.  Many welcoming affiliates choose to partner with an existing non-profit organization who agrees to host the initiative because there is a strong match with its mission and capacity. Alternatively, some initiatives may choose to set up an independent tax-exempt non-profit organization.

In either case, it is important to consider the organizational structure that will be most beneficial in helping sustain your initiative over the long term. To assist you, use our Sustainable Structure Tool, and submit a completed tool to win points.

Once you’ve completed this action and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), you can take action to upload your MOU for additional points.

Points: Earn 4,000 points for submitting your completed tool.
