Building and Sustaining Community Collaborations for Refugee Welcome

September 12, 2017 - 1:00pm

The community engagement webinar marks the release of the Community Engagement Toolkit, a new resource for strengthening local collaborations between refugee serving organizations and a wide range of other potential local partners in support of refugee integration. Audience members will learn about an array of new strategies and tactics specific to three community engagement platforms –Inform, Involve, and Invest – and will consider where their current efforts fit on this continuum and how they might stretch themselves for greater impact.

Toolkit author Paul Stein will begin by sharing an overview of the tool, and he will be followed by three speakers – one each from the Inform, Involve, and Invest platforms - who will briefly share their successful models of collaboration that exemplify various strategies and tactics of these platforms, and how these are improving the lives of refugees in their community.
