Engaged Youth: Inspiring Change In Our Community

Please join us on Saturday, September 21st, for an inspiring, youth-focused 2019 Anchorage Welcoming Week event. This is an opportunity to hear from inspiring youth in our community, who are the future leaders of Anchorage. All of the presentations will take place in the Anchorage Assembly Chamber, on the first floor of the Loussac Public Library, 3600 Denali Street. FREE and open to the public.



12:15 - 1 PM: "Youth Solution Makers" -Presented by Anchorage Youth Vote



1:15-2 PM: "What Does It Mean To Be A Good Citizen" - Presented by the Clark Middle School Informers



2:15-3 PM: "What Does A Well Functioning Democracy Need From Its Citizens?" - Presented by UAA Democracy & Civic Action Week Essay Contest Winners



The same day, don't miss the Civics Fair 12-3 PM in the Library Atrium, and the Anchorage Hate Crimes Forum 1-5 PM in the Library's Wilda Marston Theater. All of these Welcoming Week events are FREE and open to the public.
