Welcoming Week International Potluck

Let's celebrate Welcoming Week together with an International Potluck. Welcoming Week strives to bring together immigrants and U.S. born citizens in their communities. We believe that food is the best way to get the conversation started. This potluck is open to all residents. This as a great opportunity to enjoy the diversity of our growing community. All participants are asked to bring one interesting dish (with perhaps a story) to share. Main courses, salads and desserts are most welcomed. We will supply the drinks and entertainment.

This year, we will be enjoying West African music with Camara Drum and Dance.  Yamoussa Camara currently teaches West African dance at Carnegie Mellon University and Point Park University, and the African Drum Ensemble at the University of Pittsburgh. For the general public, he teaches West African Drum and Dance classes at Bodiography Center for Movement and West African Dance at Waverly Presbyterian Church.

We will enjoy our shared meal in the library's courtyard. Families of all ages are welcome. Registration helpful for seating and other preparations, but not required. Call 412-531-1912 or go to our events calendar to register.
